KiwiStays ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and booking services, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Payment information:
- • Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. KiwiStays never stores your card number, CVV, or full payment details.
- • We retain only the transaction reference ID and amount for booking records.
Automatically collected information:
- • Browser type, device type, and IP address
- • Pages visited, time spent, and referring URLs (via Google Analytics)
- • Cookie data (see Cookies section below)
2. How We Use Your Information
- • To process and confirm your booking
- • To send booking confirmations, pre-arrival reminders, and payment links
- • To provide customer support and resolve issues
- • To share relevant property information with the host for your stay
- • To send occasional promotional offers (you can opt out anytime by replying STOP to our messages)
- • To improve our website and services using aggregated, anonymised analytics
- • To detect and prevent fraud or misuse
3. Payment Security
All payments on KiwiStays are processed through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Your card and banking details are entered directly on Razorpay's secure servers and are never transmitted to or stored on KiwiStays servers.
We only receive a payment confirmation token and transaction amount to record your booking.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only in these circumstances:
- • Property hosts: Your name, phone number, and stay dates are shared with the host to facilitate your stay.
- • Service providers: Trusted partners (e.g., Razorpay, Google Analytics, SMS providers) who help us operate our business, under confidentiality agreements.
- • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:
- • Essential cookies: Required for the website to function (e.g., session management)
- • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (anonymised)
- • Preference cookies: To remember your search filters and preferences
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may affect site functionality.
6. Data Retention
- • Booking records are retained for 3 years for accounting and legal compliance.
- • Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics default settings (26 months).
